From most countries, including the USA, you'll need a visa and passport to gain entry into Indonesia. Pack shorts, T-shirts and a set of light long pants. Women should bring at least one set of clothes that covers the arms and legs, due to religious sensitivity in some areas.

To get the best exchange rate, money should be exchanged in Bali, before your visit to Sumbawa. Because of problems with counterfeiting, you'll need to bring crisp new bills on your trip to Indonesia. Bills older than 2001, or bills that are crinckled or scratched may not be accepted for exchange.

There is a doctor's office and hospital in Maluk town, a short drive from the resort. The resort has 24 hour security on the premises.
